Book Review: Adventures For Your Soul by Shannon Kaiser

I am not much of a bookworm but THIS BOOK IS LIFE CHANGING! Because of this book, I followed my dreams and listened to what my heart wanted. I took a chance on someone that I had no chance with, moved to the other side of the world, and decided to full time with my blogging and YouTube career. It hasn't been easy, but whenever I need a friendly reminder to just do me and listen to what I need, I read this book.

Rather than explaining what this book is about, I will explain what it has done for me and my most favorite parts about it. I love how the author just speaks to you. She speaks to you like she is a lifelong friend who just wants what's best for you. She teaches you how to love yourself, listen to your inner voice, let go of the past, make attainable goals, chase your dreams, reward yourself, and how to compliment yourself.

I have struggled with depression for almost my entire life. I got diagnosed with it when I was only 7 years old. It has been a long journey and really long emotional rollercoaster but I. will. never. give. up! Just like Shannon says in the book, "I belong and fit in the world just as I am. The world needs me to express my true self".

Here is a copy & paste description from Amazon if you want to know what the book is actually about and not just my opinion :)

Blue Scallop Skirt

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my Fashion Blog. Today's look is fashioned around my Blue Scalloped skirt that I scored on sale from Asos! They offer free international shipping which is a huge plus for me because trying to ship anything to Singapore is SO expensive. I just want my mom to be able to ship me her homemade polish food anytime I want 😥. Irrelevant but true.

This is a great look if you're going out on weekend day dates or just grabbing some brunch. The scallops is a nice touch a girly to this all blue & black look. I wore a hat because my hair was greasy and had weird kinks in it after wearing it in a ponytail at the gym. Solution: side messy braid + fedora. Works every time.

I'm not going to lie. Thursday night I was pretty depressed. So depressed that I almost deleted my blog and YouTube channel. I thought for a split second that all of the hard work and hours I put into this wasn't worth it. I realized the next morning how silly and stupid I was because what would I do if I deleted everything? Just watch Netflix all day? No, I would probably just start over and have to make a new blog and youtube channel from scratch again. I love doing what I do and sometimes it can get a little hard with the haters, my own insecurities, and failure. I realize now that growth is a long term game and that in order to succeed, you need to fail first. Not once, but many times. Failure should be a stepping stone that should guide you in a better direction. As long as you make the tiniest bit of progress, then you will eventually get there!

Too Cool for Pool

My friend, Branda came over the other day for a pool party. Except it was a pool party for two people hahaha. I usually like quality one-on-one time with people anyways.

We had a splash with our floaties and snacked on fresh fruit. Branda was so kind to bring over a bottle of wine to share as well. My gold swan drink holder was perfect for that.
