I Moved to Singapore
I made the huge decision to pick up my whole life and move to Singapore just a couple of weeks ago. I did it for love and for a new change in my life. I was lucky enough to get a free one way first class ticket to Singapore and decided to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. My boyfriend and I are in a committed relationship and we did long distance for a little while. The more I dated him and skyped him, the more I realized that I wanted to spend every day with him for the rest of my life. I never met someone I could trust completely with all of my fears, thoughts, and my mistakes I have made in the past. I am blessed enough to have found a true love that unconditional and sacrificial. Someone I trust more than myself sometimes. He has challenged me to be a better person and has made a huge difference in my life. Moving to the other side of the world is the least I could do to show him how much I love him. The distance was hard but we made it through it. I am an extremely tough egg to crack but he showed me that it is okay to open myself up to him completely and he continues to prove it to me everyday no matter over skype or in person. Moving to Singapore was scary and exciting at the same time. Saying bye to my friend and family was the hardest but I also knew that I had someone with big loving arms waiting for me at the airport on the other side of the world. I have been to Singapore twice before so this place wasn't completely new to me but I knew that there was still a lot to learn. I just wanted to say that if life hands you even the slightest chance to take on a big opportunity, just do it. Don't let fear get in the way. I'd rather live a life of no regrets than wondering what if.
The night before I left my family and I went to my most favorite american restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory. Saying bye to them at the airport was so hard and many tears are shed but I still skype them almost every day since I have moved.
Flying first class was so great! I will never view economy the same ever again. The unlimited champagne, great food, and being able to lie all the way down in my seat made the 30 hour journey a pleasant one.
My sweetheart was there waiting for me with a dozen roses. I knew at that moment that my life was about to change forever and for the better. I am so lucky to be in love with someone so thoughtful and amazing. If this isn't true love then I don't know what is. Thank you for being my modern day fairytale. #truelove #longdistancerelationship #moderndayfairytale
