FASHION POST: TROPICAL THAILAND
Hello from Thailand! (I am actually currently in Sydney, Australia but really behind on posts.... oops.) Thailand is really fun and beautiful and if it isn't on your bucket list then what are you waiting for??? Seriously just plan your next vacation here and you won't regret it. The warm weather, clear blue waters, tasty food, and nice people are all reasons enough to come here. If you are coming from the US, the most expensive part is getting a plane ticket here. The rest is extremely cheap. (And I mean really cheap. Like the hotels can be as little as $25 a night for something decent and meals can be less than $4 with a drink. Crazy amazing.) I came here for the first time a year ago and fell in LOVE with this place. I went on a solo trip here to "find myself" and I don't regret it one bit. After telling my mother my amazing stories here, she was intrigued to go. We made it a goal to go here together and take a mommy-daughter vacation here. Even though it rained most of the time, it was a lovely experience.
The area we stayed in is called Railay Beach which is in Krabi, Thailand. Everyone usually goes to the Phi Phi Island but I loathe super touristy spots and I prefer more remote locations such as Railay. To get here you can fly to Krabi airport or do what we did which was flying to Phuket Airport then taking a ferry over from Phuket Town to Railay.
The resort we stayed in at Railay is called Railay Princess Resort. The resort itself is very nice and has very nice amenities including a rooftop infinity pool with views of the ocean and mountains and a secluded pool in the back that makes you feel like you are swimming in a jungle. The room we stayed in was kind of out dated but we were so busy exploring and sightseeing that it didn't really matter too much to us. We just wish that we requested to stay in the newly renovated rooms because they were SO cute.
We went to this beach called Phra Nang Cave Beach and discovered this emerald covered cove. Ironically enough it matches perfectly with the dress that I was wearing. The dress is an all white spaghetti strapped dress with a v-neck cut. It has a patter of green palm leaves and then it ties at the waist with a belt with tassels. I wore my favorite J initial necklace (J for James, my boyfriend) from Target because I always like to keep a piece of him wherever I go. Shoes were not necessary but I did wear some flip flops which aren't shown in the photos. Later on that day I bought a cute floppy hat from a little shop I discovered on the Railay Beach Walking Street and took some photos of me wearing it. My hair created beautiful beach waves in this humidity. It was hard to tame the frizz though... I kept my makeup simple with a few coats of mascara, powder, blush, and soft berry lips.
