Luxurious Dream Singapore Apartment Tour | A New Chapter In My Life

About a month ago my boyfriend and I had to make a big decision. Deciding if we should sign a 2 year place on an apartment or move to a new country. At that time I was feeling really sick of Singapore. I was homesick, I felt lonely, and the thought of staying here for another 2 years seemed like a lifetime away. A month ago I hated living here. Every day was the same as a stay at home daily vlogger/blogger. When I first moved to Singapore 6 months ago it seemed really exciting. I don't get to work a stressful 9-5 with crappy bosses, create my own content, map out my own future, and be immersed in a whole new culture that I have never experienced before in my life. I quickly realized how lonely I became after moving here. I couldn't seem to make any close friends here that wanted to spend time with me. I met a lot of people here really quickly but they weren't people that I could see regularly and sometimes we would go months without ever seeing each other. Everyday felt so lonely when the only person I would talk to would be my boyfriend when he gets home from work. I would walk through the streets, hawker centres, and sit on the MRT with so many people around yet no one to talk to. Not only are people usually not friendly in public, but surprisingly for an English speaking country not a lot of people know it.

So then why did we decide to stay here another 2 years if the last 6 months were so bad? Because going somewhere new or heading back home wouldn't resolve the issue and those issues will only follow me wherever I go. I never gave Singapore a real chance and my negativity hindered my happiness here. I realized that if I didn't want to feel lonely, that I would need to put myself out there and face my fear of rejection over and over again until I find the right people. I made a list right before I moved here of places that I want to travel to in Southeast Asia before we move out of Singapore. That list grew from 5 places to 50 places really really quickly. I realized that 2 years was barely even enough time and that was reason enough to stay here.

The law of attraction teaches us that if we stay positive and look at what is right with the world then we will attract good things and good people in our life. How can I make friends if I'm always dwelling about how lonely and unhappy I am? Making a change isn't so simple sometimes because it is a choice that we have to make every day. I definitely have my days where I'm in a bad mood and I just hide in bed all day. I quickly realize that the sooner that I pick myself back up, the sooner I can put myself out there and have the chance to have a great day!

The old apartment that we lived in for 6 months before this one, we liked but also hated the living condition that we were in. It was a 2 bedroom flat with a balcony and a lot of space. Except a lot of the space was unusable and the air conditioners didn't really work outside the bedrooms. The location was good and it had a great view. Our flat mate lived in the Master Bedroom with his girlfriend who stayed 2-3 nights a week. My boyfriend and I shared the tiny 2nd bedroom. All that could fit in there was a queen bed and a vanity. It was sooo much smaller than the other bedroom and it felt very claustrophobic in there. But it was very hard to go to the living room unless you wanted to sweat to death. The oven only decided to work half of the time and the landlord left a lot of their crap there and even charged us for it!! We didn't really like living with our flat mates either because they weren't really friendly and they never cleaned anything. Basically to sum up the story: I really didn't like living there towards the end and I was excited to get out.

Finding a place in a short amount of time is never easy. Compromises had to be made and we spent a lot of time viewing different places. We viewed 3 places in person before we decided on this one! The first place we looked at, we LOVED! ...but it was slightly out of price range. The second place we looked at was nice as well but extremely small and we just didn't like it at all. The third place we really like a lot. It was expensive but worth it.

This complex is something out of a dream. Singapore is a city where nature meets concrete jungle and is a city from the future! I have never seen such beautiful flats like I have in this country. For being the most expensive and densely populated country in the world, this flat was surprisingly affordable and in our budget. We picked out this studio loft to be our home for the next 2 years. It has 8 POOLS (what?!), 2 tennis courts, a million (actually like 5-10) bbq pits, a rooftop terrace, and lots of pretty greenery. When I was 18 and trying to figure out my goals and dreams, I made a dream board of the goals that I wanted to accomplish. 4 of my goals by the age of 22 have already been accomplished. Finding my other half, living abroad, traveling the world, and living in modern and urban apartment in a big city. I am so excited to show you guys my home!

The view standing from the couch of the studio. This flat has a lot of storage and nice appliances such as our really cool built into the wall coffee machine. It makes me lattes and espresso whenever I want it with just a press of a button.

The loft area is where we sleep. There isn't a lot of headspace but we don't really mind since we don't really hang out there anyways.

The rooftop terrace. This is an amazing spot to watch the sunrises and sunsets. I need to come up here more often because it is so peaceful and beautiful.

I am so lucky and blessed to live here everyday. Who knows? Maybe I'll stay in Singapore forever. (Jk I would never stay here my whole life.) I am starting to love Singapore again and all that this city has to offer. All of this typing makes me want to go jump in the pool. See you next time! Have a lovely day! xx
